Marin isolates the lower body to reflect on the demands placed on women's physical and emotional labor. The tiled backdrops, rendered in bold chromatic fields and geometric precision, evoke order and control, but also the limitations of domestic space. Within these frameworks, the body appears both grounded and abstracted. The legs and feet, operate like glyphs‚ signs of balance, support, and persistence. Their presence is unheroic, yet insistent. Through repetition and reduction, Feet proposes that what is most foundational‚ the parts of the body that hold and move and carry‚ may also be where identity is most deeply negotiated.
