Unicorn, 2025

Porcelain, Wood

18" x 20" x 25" approximately

This large-scale ceramic sculpture depicts a hybrid figure‚ half woman, half unicorn‚ embodying strength, integrity, and quiet defiance. Historically, the unicorn has functioned as a feminist symbol of autonomy and untamable power, often associated with purity not as innocence, but as self-possession. By merging the unicorn with the female body, the sculpture asserts the right to remain true to oneself while embracing vulnerability, care, and coexistence. Hand-built in ceramic, the figure balances fragility and resilience, asserting that softness and strength are not opposites. The work proposes empowerment rooted in empathy rather than dominance.
