Under Lying is part of a series of work on paper titled Table Talk, a narrative about the trials and tribulations of couples attempting to form an intimate relationship. "Under Lying" is a double entendre at once referring to the conversations we have that often mask our true feelings as well as the behavioral patterns beneath that hold us captive. The background pattern appearing throughout the series is my visual metaphor emphasizing that our inner patterns of thinking and behaving are always in competition with the present moment.
