My work explores movement, rhythm, and transformation in nature through painting. I build immersive visual fields populated by hybrid, plant-like forms that feel playful, strange, and alive. These imagined organisms are not specific species, but speculative responses to growth, decay, and adaptation. Color, repetition, and dancing mark-making create a sense of motion, inviting viewers to slow down and engage with wonder rather than alarm. Humor and exuberance resist narratives of collapse, proposing imagination as an ecological resource. The work emphasizes our entanglement with living systems, foregrounding joy, resilience, and continuous change. Rooted in observation, memory, and embodied experience over time.
