Rendered in meticulous pen and ink, The Long Escape from Their Madness presents a quiet but defiant counter-spectacle. The triptych conjures a surreal, carnivalesque journey in which a hybrid goat-woman moves from naive belonging through fracture and exile to hard-won emancipation, absorbing and ultimately defeating the projections and sins of authority. Rooted in the artist's own lived experience, the work functions as a personal ritual of survival and release. What is imposed is not erased but transformed: bindings loosen, burdens fall away, and false identities transmute into radiant light, reclaiming joy and revealing domination as temporary.
