The fall, 2026
Oil on canvas and ceramic
36x28
This work plays with the absurdity of self-importance. A collapsed figure lies on a white ground, stripped of identity and reduced to posture and fabric. Beneath the painting, a ceramic banana peel completes the scene, turning the fall into a silent punchline. The oversized shoes introduce a gentle distortion, hinting at caricature without losing realism. The contrast between polished attire and ridiculous accident questions authority and masculinity. Humor becomes a tool to deflate power, inviting viewers to laugh at pretension and recognize their own.
