Taxi #5414 is a mixed-media artwork that combines acrylic paint and magazine paper. The painting shows the interior of a taxi cab. The viewer is placed in the position of a passenger in the middle of their journey, looking out onto the road ahead. Images of dinosaur heads, wrist watches, text and numbers, move through space or pop up out of nowhere. The logic of the original scene begins to break down, amidst the confusion of layered images, leaving something more similar to a dream or distant memory.
