Pleasure Trophy III is part of Lydia Nobles' ongoing series, Pleasure Trophies, which reclaims the cultural symbol of the trophy, shifting it from conquest to self-determined pleasure and agency. Incorporating corporeal fragments like sinew within synthetic composites, the work moves between abstraction and the body. Resin, epoxy clay, and plastics create surfaces that feel both seductive and uneasy, asking how intimacy and vulnerability are shaped through personal experience and larger systems of control.
