That concert was a full circle moment for me. I first experienced Patti Labelle and the Bluebelles in concert at the Apollo when I was 9 years old. They became a muse for me that day.

Sending solace racing through our souls
Preach sisters, dropping ice bucket feelings down our spines
As you sensuously spout a million I’s your keeper glances 
While dancing with the wonder dragon
