With the evolution of social media, people are obsessed with lifestyle images. Influencers curate a life online that may not reflect their actual life. The Fantasy Faces body of work explores the curated social media feed and the masks worn to create a fantasy life worthy of clicks and engagement. Using appropriated photographs, I create a photo transfer onto wallpaper. The transfers are not always perfect representing a person's flaws. Each portrait is re-imagined with collaged features creating a fantasy persona. The woman in I'll Drink to That makes a toast, but do we really know if she's celebrating?
