This work offers an examination of the historical and ongoing struggles faced by women within a male-dominated social and cultural framework. The composition depicts a woman asserting her claim overwhat has traditionally been denied to her, symbolically reclaiming space from male authority.Both the instrument and the dance function as powerful symbols of longstanding systems of exclusionthat have marginalized women. Through the symbolism, the work challenges norms and calls upon theviewer to reconsider gendered boundaries within cultural traditions. The woman details empowerment,equity, and autonomy.
