“Head” reclaims and reorients the gaze, echoing the conceptual provocation of Warhol’s “Blow Job” while shifting the focus from male to female pleasure. Centering on women’s agency and erotic autonomy. In doing so, I’m challenging not only the cinematic norms that have prioritized male pleasure, but also addressing the broader cultural discomfort with women’s sexual pleasure. In a media landscape where female pleasure is often commodified, sanitized, or silenced, “Head” presents it unapologetically and makes intimacy an act of resistance, where a woman's pleasure is no longer offered for consumption, but claimed as my own source of power.
