Have you ever heard the universal language, has the veil of individualism dropped before you? This painting came from my time working in the service industry, where the hive mind can frequently be observed. Whether it's everyone ordering their eggs poached one day and scrambled the next- or the fact that, in over a year, I was only twice asked for a side of grapefruit, both times happening about 20 minutes apart and both people clearly a bit confused and taken aback by their own request. This painting will leave you dizzy, the pink and green vibrating while you focus on the juicy gems of fruit- and maybe you will notice your mouth water- a suddenly- you too would like a side of grapefruit?
