Erasure Smash 9 intensifies the Erasure series‚ investigation of instability through collision, saturation, and fragmentation. The figure is compressed and reassembled through thick black contours and disruptive chromatic fields of red, blue, pink, and yellow. Layers of paint and pen simultaneously assert and cancel form, producing a body caught between coherence and collapse. The recurring open mouth and exposed intestinal interior persist as corporeal anchors, suggesting cycles of intake, rupture, and expulsion. White linear marks function as connective tissue, briefly reconstituting the figure before dissolving again. The composition foregrounds process, velocity, and resistance to fixed identity.
