This piece is part of a larger autobiographical series entitled Witness, a journey through the healing of childhood sexual trauma. It functions as a portal/rabbit hole/entry way into a strange realm where trauma is seen, processed, and healed. Hecate, the Triple Goddess guides us. She is strong and sturdy, protected by her hell-hounds, guided by her lamps, keys and deep knowledge of the underworld. Facing trauma is baddass. So is supporting survivors. If we can create room to hold each other’s trauma and vulnerability, then we can hold those abusers in power accountable.
