Dental x-rays featuring the inside of a dead tooth adorned with vibrant beading This moment preserves the day after deciding to commit to a divorce and visiting the dentist for a routine appointment. An act of doing a mundane task during complete disarray. The dental x-ray revealed a dead tooth that I had for 20 years, unaware of the root canal I received from breaking my teeth as a child. My oblivion to a part of my body being dead, mirrored the shock of my separation and death from a husband.
