Dissolver (sculptural silkscreen), 2018

Archival interleaving, silkscreen ink, linen on Arches fine art paper

Dissolver was created during a period of impasse, when the artist abandoned resolution and embraced stuckness as a material condition. Beneath the sculptural silkscreen surface are three film stills depicting self-inflicted head injuries‚ images that surfaced involuntarily at the height of frustration. Rather than functioning as spectacle, these scenes operate as cultural reflexes, visualizing psychic pressure and repetition. The sculptural elements compress and partially obscure the images, suspending meaning between recognition and refusal. The work resists catharsis, transforming paralysis into form. Dissolver holds tension without release, asserting stuckness as generative rather than failed.
