This piece represents a collision of paint and found materials that contradict yet embrace each other. It pulses an improvised spirit of punk with jagged edges and sharp points that are polished with pleasing color. I like to think of these tiny clusters as ingredients in a mini riot disguised as a celebration. Like certain creatures of nature with their ineffable beauty, the assemblage draws you in to take a closer look, and then it reaches out to bite you. It also represents a decorative brooch that is worn with a fearless honor.
