Cloud Compression 1 suspends a found sherpa blanket tightly bound within a pink body harness; a relic from the artist’s past performances. The act of compression transforms softness into tension, mirroring the emotional restraint required to endure and function amid social and political instability. By forcing comfort into containment, the work visualizes the psychic labor of compartmentalization, externalizing distress and inviting reflection on how bodies hold, and release pressure.
