Breaking the Spell is an installation featuring sculptural elements of Air, Fire, Water, and Earth wrapped around an I-beam column. The piece starts with painted tile and stone on the floor (Earth), transitions into wave forms (Water) rising up the column, then becomes jagged flame shapes (Fire), and finally white cloud-like forms (Air) at the top. Water and fire are crafted from wire and acrylic, while sewn paper shapes represent air.
