This artwork marks the pinnacle of my series of ‚Devotionals.‚ Inspired by lullabies I sang to my infant, whose chords echoed Negro spirituals, I envisioned a woman in white singing ancestral songs. Through research on my ancestors' journeys, I created a life-sized resin form‚ echoing baptism, memory, and embodied ancestral presence.
