Baby Dreamer was conceived as one of a pair of infant sculptures exploring the liminal state between dreaming and waking. Dreamer holds a pose a real infant cannot sustain. Propped on her elbows, she lifts the weight of her head as if evaluating the world on her own terms. Though her body appears alert, her eyes remain closed and her gaze remains inward-seeking.
