A Facsimile of What We Imagined, 2019

Assemblage Sculpture

22x30x13 inches

This artwork stages a dense construction of found objects to mirror how memory and imagination fabricate reality. Industrial fragments, toys, natural motifs, and obsolete instruments collide into a single ecosystem, suggesting progress, play, and decay at once. The intent is not to document the world as it is, but to reveal how we mentally assemble it: selectively, emotionally, and imperfectly. By compressing time, scale, and function, the piece exposes the human impulse to rationalize chaos into narrative. A Facsimile of What We Imagined acknowledges that our visions of the past, future, and self are inventions‚ beautiful, intricate, and fundamentally provisional.
