About the Event

Are you a Millennial queer woman who’s ever watched a romantic comedy and imagined yourself dressed smooth, looking mysterious, and standing in a museum examining a piece of work while a cutie examines you? We’ve got the next best thing.

Join NY Writers Coalition and Pen + Brush on Thursday, March 28th as we present a speed dating event made for the dreamer, art lover, and storyteller in you. PICTURESQUE is an opportunity for queer Millennial women (ages 28 to 43) to meet each other while art and literature act as their wing-person for the night. Experience amazing visual art, stirring readings (poetry and prose), and other activities to help you discover the essence of the person/people you'll be dating.

Up to 40 participants (including you 😉?) will be in attendance. You'll have time to mingle freely and admire the exhibition currently on view at Pen + Brush before getting to know others one-on-one. There will also be readings/performances by our host Regi Angelou to help give you at least one new conversation topic. Matches will be connected after the event.

ABOUT THE HOST

Regi Angelou is a single writer, rapper, and seductress from Queens, New York. She enjoys exploring the world, meeting new people, and holding space for laughter and good times.

PRICE

Tickets are $25 (wine will be provided). A limited number of discounted tickets are available for artists and writers. Please email Bird Piccininni at elizabirdie@penandbrush.org with discounted ticket requests.
